Walt Disney World – Vacation Update 2020

Walt Disney World Resort Current Situation Update

Keeping the well-being of Guests and Cast Members in mind means that Disney must carefully control capacity at the Walt Disney World Resort. In turn, that means that they must continuously review their product and offerings. As a result they have made several changes to the 2021 Walt Disney World product:

Dine Plans

  • Due to the restrictions in capacity as a result of physical distancing, Disney can no longer offer Dine Plans at Walt Disney World Resort.
  • We are currently working with Disney to remove Dine Plans from existing Guest bookings and provide a refund for any paid and upgraded Dine Plans.

Resort hotel reservations

  • Stays can only be booked through to September 26, 2021
  • Guest Checkout must occur by 27 September, 2021

Theme Park Reservations system

  • To enter a Disney Park, every Guest must have both a valid Theme park ticket and a Theme Park Reservation for the same park on the same date, for each day they wish to visit the Disney Parks.
  • It is important that Guests have a My Disney Experience account and have linked bookings, as this will allow you reserve Theme Park access once the system is available. We strongly recommend that you have the latest version of the My Disney Experience app on your mobile devices, with location services and notifications enabled. All Guests should familiarize themselves with My Disney Experience here.
